Home Sweet Home Pet Resort is proud to provide a dog rescue program that specializes in placing small dogs (under 20 lbs.) into the best possible homes and families.  There are many small dogs in our immediate area that need to find new, forever homes with families to love and care for them. We’ve had tremendous success with our program and place over 20 dogs into their forever homes each year!

Some of our dogs have been surrendered by the courts, by family members of the elderly/sick, or because of other conflicts in the home. When selecting new homes for our rescues, we evaluate activity levels, temperament, children or elderly in the home, size of the home, noise conditions, and more, to make sure the needs of both humans and dogs are met.

Before a rescue dog is released to their new home they are:

• Vet Checked
• Neutered/Spayed
• Brought up to date on all shots
• Groomed
• House Trained (if necessary)

If a rescue dog requires any medications, they will be provided to the adopting family.
